Of the 142 teams that took part in the prelims of Mimasa, four teams got selected for the finals. After two days of intensive quizzing, the team from IISc Bangalore was announced as the Champions of Mimasa-2012. The team comprised of Pranav Garg, Amogh Anil Kinikar, Sathyawageeshwar S and Sriram S.
MIMAMSA is the annual national science challenge of IISER Pune. It is one of the most conceptually challenging science competition in the country. It is a two-stage affair. The first stage is a multidisciplinary subjective written exam. The top four colleges selected through this round move into the finals. The finals of Mimamsa is two days of intense quizzing in which the participants try to decipher, discuss and demonstrate the most interesting aspects of science.
Final results were announced on Feburary 12, 2012. The final standings:
Winners:- IISc, Bangalore.
Runners-Up:- IIT, Kanpur.
